Job Description

• The Head of Business Continuity and Resilience will be responsible for ensuring that the organization can continue its operations in the event of disruptions or disasters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a business continuity and resilience strategy that meets the organization's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Identify critical business functions and prioritize them based on their importance to the organization's operations.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and resilience plans, procedures, and policies to ensure the organization can respond to disruptions effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential risks and the impact on the organization's operations.
• Coordinate and lead business continuity and resilience exercises, including tabletop exercises and simulations, to test the effectiveness of the organization's plans.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, such as government agencies and vendors, to support business continuity and resilience efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• Manage a team of business continuity and resilience professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate business continuity and resilience performance and progress to senior leadership and the board of directors through reports and presentations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Possession of CBCP, CBRM, or its equivalent will be a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business continuity and resilience planning and management, ideally from a complex environment.
• Experience in leading business continuity and resilience exercises and simulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business continuity and resilience practices and principles.
• Demonstrated success in applying independent judgment and managing a team of professionals.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of operational risk management, including risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
