Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Shogunle, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality and ensure timely delivery.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records and other important data.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges and their potential future development etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Following and enforcing and improving on the company's procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Management or a similar field preferred.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer in the logistics filed.
  • Strong knowledge of identification and purchase od spare parts.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
