Aisen Nursery and Primary School, a 3-form entry, co-educational, British curriculum school, providing education for children aged between 18 months and 11 years.

The school is housed in fit-for-purpose buildings on a site of over 10 plots, consisting of a multipurpose hall, large air conditioned classrooms, as well as specialist teaching rooms for Music, Science, 1CT, Art; in addition, the school has a large play ground with modern play equipment, a running track and a soccer pitch.

Job Title: Primary Years' Teacher

Responsibilities
  • The Primary Years' Teacher would work with children aged between five and eleven and be responsible for their educational, social and emotional development while in their care.
  • They are required to teach subjects covered by the British Primary curriculum at Key Stage 1 (ages 5 to 7) and Key Stage 2(7 to 11) - subjects such as English, Science, Maths, Critical Thinking etc.
  • They facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils, and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom environment.
  • They develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in addition to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study.
  • Additional teaching certification is desirable.
  • Must have at least two (2) years primary school teaching experience implementing the British or Nigerian primary school curriculum.
