Job Title: Primary Years' Teacher
Location: Port Harcourt
Responsibilities
- The Primary Years' Teacher would work with children aged between five and eleven and be responsible for their educational, social and emotional development while in their care.
- They are required to teach subjects covered by the British Primary curriculum at Key Stage 1 (ages 5 to 7) and Key Stage 2(7 to 11) - subjects such as English, Science, Maths, Critical Thinking etc.
- They facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils, and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom environment.
- They develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in addition to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study.
- Additional teaching certification is desirable.
- Must have at least two (2) years primary school teaching experience implementing the British or Nigerian primary school curriculum.
