Located in Umuahala community of Abia state which is some 25km to the industrial and commercial city of Aba, it is a focused steel manufacturing outfit with the capacity to produce reinforced steel bars of different sizes as well as steel products of various shapes and sizes for the Nigerian market as well as the West African coast. With our dedication to quality, we have also begun the production of Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) rebars of various sizes as well.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Umuahala, Abia

Jo Description

• Our company is seeking an experienced Chinese Translator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating documents, presentations, and other materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in translation and a HSK5 certification or higher.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents, presentations, and other materials from Chinese to English and vice versa
• Ensure accuracy and quality of translations
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and project requirements
• Edit and proofread translated materials to ensure correctness and consistency
• Manage translation projects from start to finish, including quality assurance and timely delivery
• Develop and maintain terminology databases and translation memories
• Research and stay current with industry-specific terminology and best practices
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in translation
• HSK5 certification or higher
• Native fluency in Chinese and English, with excellent writing and speaking skills in both languages
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in translation software and tools
• Experience in legal or technical translation is a plus.
