Located in Umuahala community of Abia state which is some 25km to the industrial and commercial city of Aba, it is a focused steel manufacturing outfit with the capacity to produce reinforced steel bars of different sizes as well as steel products of various shapes and sizes for the Nigerian market as well as the West African coast. With our dedication to quality, we have also begun the production of Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) rebars of various sizes as well.

Job Description

• Our company is seeking a skilled Recruitment Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing qualified candidates for various positions within the organization.
• The Recruitment Officer will play a key role in attracting top talent and building a diverse and talented workforce.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions
• Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates
• Source and screen resumes and applications
• Conduct initial phone and in-person interviews to assess candidates' qualifications
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
• Administer pre-employment assessments and background checks
• Provide feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Negotiate job offers and ensure smooth onboarding process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment
• Familiarity with recruitment techniques and tools, including applicant tracking systems and social media
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
