Job Title: FX Treasury Trader

The Role
- We are recruiting for an FX Treasury Trader to join the Group Treasury Team to focus on supporting our aspiration to build a world-class FX service alongside our real-time disbursements and collections effort in Africa. As a core member of the Treasury Team, the FX Treasury Trader will report to the Head of FX & Float Management and work closely with the finance and commercial teams and with the Group’s regional hubs.
- We seek candidates with a minimum of three years of experience within the Treasury at a leading Nigerian Bank. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, high EQ, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute FX transactions to support (a) partners who wish to access African liquidity and (b) float continuity via our inhouse (360T) or counterparty platforms
- Build and manage relationships with Nigerian Banks
- Recording of all treasury movements in our TMS
- Stay abreast of market movements and set our Internal FX rates accordingly
- Ensure liquidity amongst our major nostros + wallets
- Settlement of FX and payments to our various pay-out partners In Africa.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with our counterparties and banking network
- Maintain, develop, and enhance processes, procedures, and policies to ensure an effective treasury environment
- Manage projects across Treasury and ensure successful delivery

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree educated
- Accounting / Treasury / CFA qualification
- Minimum three years of experience working In Front office at a leading Nigerian commercial bank or equivalent
- Significant experience In West Africa and Intrinsically understand market drivers and dynamics
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding FX dealing & trading in Nigeria
- Comfortable with FX spot execution and risks, candidates with experience In liquidity management In USDNGN & XAFNGN are preferential
- Familiar with accounting and Treasury reporting
- Production of short to medium terms cashflows
- Intermediate Excel user (Python or VBA an advantage)
