We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Lagos Free Zone, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and interpret financial information.
• Prepare annual budget, projections and business plan.
• Analyze costs, pricing, overheads, sales and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
• Maintain the financial health of the organization.
• Ensure assets and stock of the organization are adequately insured.
• Ensure timely receipt of funds from customers and repayment to suppliers.
• Ensure statutory dues are paid on time including timely filing of all statutory returns and documents.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Financial Manager and experience in the financial sector.
• Proficient user of finance software, MS office.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to manage, guide and lead team to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A good understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Commerce graduate degree in Finance/ Accounting.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN will be preferred
