Job Title: Travel Country Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Travel Country Manager to lead and manage our travel operations in a specific country.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including sales, operations, customer service, and finance.
  • The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of the travel industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, including sales targets and profitability goals
  • Lead and manage a team of sales and operational staff to ensure high-quality service delivery to customers
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry associations
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Manage financial performance, including budgets, expenses, and revenue streams
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand presence in the local market through marketing and promotional activities
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment of business objectives and activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field; MBA is preferred
  • Up to 10 years of experience in travel industry management or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve business objectives
  • In-depth knowledge of the travel industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong financial management skills with the ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other business software
