Job Title: Legal Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Roles
The legal Officer will be responsible for:
- Coordinating activities of the company’s Legal activities and litigations.
- Developing and implementing legal initiatives and systems.
- Following up with the company’s compliance with regulatory laws, expatriate quota. expatriate recruitment, visa processing.
- Drafting contracts between the company and contractors.
- Representing the company at designated court proceedings that may arise.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a First Degree in Law.
- Must be a Member of The Nigerian Bar Association,.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a Legal Officer in a corporate organization with litigation experience.
Skills and Competency:
- Proficient computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets; knowledge of legal software is a plus.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Detailed and versed understanding of corporate laws.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Informed decision-making/sound judgement and excellent professional disposition; etc.
