The
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) - Since its creation in 1863, the ICRC's sole objective has been to ensure protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and strife. It does so through its direct action around the world, as well as by encouraging the development of international humanitarian law (IHL) and promoting respect for it by governments and all weapon bearers. Its story is about the development of humanitarian action, the Geneva Conventions and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
We are looking for suitable candidates to fill the vacancy below:
Job Title: Cleaner/Domestic Staff
Location: Yola
Main Responsibilities
- Provides Cleaning/housekeeping/laundry services for the ICRC premises
- Prepares coffee and tea if assigned at the office
- Purchases food and food stock management for a household
- Knows and applies hygiene principles
Required Qualifications
- Unskilled labourer or Secondary education
- 2-3 years similar work experience
- Good physical condition
- Ability to take initiative and deal with people
- Ability to speak and write English
- Strong sense of responsibility and autonomy
Desired Personal Skills
- Strongly motivated by humanitarian work Flexibility and willingness to work irregular schedules
- Reliable and calm person
