School Nurse at Halifield Schools

Founded in 1996, Halifield School was initially situated on Salami Street, Mende until 2003 when it relocated to its permanent premises on Oki Lane, Maryland, Lagos. In 2009, Halifield commenced a secondary school which is a preparatory ground for university entry and a grooming centre for adolescents.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: School Nurse

Location: Maryland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Hostel
Supervises: Boarding Students

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design implement and evaluate plans of care using sound clinical judgment based on the needs of students and staff.
• Provide education about diagnosis, treatment of medical conditions and appropriate preventive measures.
• Access real or potential health hazards within the environment.
• Educate and encourage students and staff to recognize and change behavior that has negative impact on their health
• Work collaboratively with visiting doctors to deliver excellent Medicare for staff and student.
• Evaluates outcome of nursing care
• Manage the recovery room to provide effective medical response to student and staff during school hours
• Check vital statistics of patients in readiness for medical diagnosis
• Provide medical care for the sick and injured
• Manage medical information and medical history of patients
• Coordinate the health care delivery system for the school
• Work with the House Parents to coordinate and monitor the activities of the Boarding Students.

• No of mishandled cases.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Five (5) years’ experience as a registered nurse.

Salary
N70,000 Monthly.
