Job Title:  Head Business Development Officer

Job Description
  • Networking Establishing new business relationships within the market Deepen existing client base.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders Handle objections with clients by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners;
  • Discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Communicate new product development to prospective clients Product/service development. Contribute to the development and refinement of company's vision and strategy.
  • Develop effective negotiating strategies Understand, analyze and develop business strategies when working with clients.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and distribution channels Identify opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications and announcements.
  • Customer Relationship Management Research and build relationships with new & existing clients.
  • Organize and participate in internal and external client debriefs Develop & maintain a credible up to date database of clients & prospects.
  • Management and Research Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast sales target and ensure they are met by the team, plan approaches and pitches i.e. Work with teams to develop proposals that meets client needs, concerns and objectives.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Work with BD department to ensure that fundamentals are fulfilled within a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company's strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop, review and report on the business development division's strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Company's vision and strategy.
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and shareholder returns.
  • Writing reports Planning and preparing presentations Marketing Competitor and market analysis.
  • Develop and lead the business development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the marketing department.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A good first degree in Business Development or Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
  • (MBA) Professional Qualification Chattered Institute of Marketing (CIM) The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM)
  • Experience 4-6 years of sales or marketing experience
