The Opportunity

• IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team as Specialist, Data Center & Systems Administrator.
• The individual will oversee server and system administration operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, optimize, and secure various Kubernetes clusters on MS Azure Cloud services and Linus operating systems.
• Setup and maintain containers, container availability, auto-scalability, storage management, DNS, Proxy setup and maintain firewall, app gateway, and load balancers on MS Azure Cloud.
• Knowledge in Azure DevOps automate pipelines by leveraging market standards.
• General IT infrastructure and IT Security consultancy services including planning, design and implementation, integration, migration and administration of IT messaging, infrastructure and IT Security related people, processes and technologies.
• Write and maintain operational procedures in IT Rooms and similar area.
• Responds to all IT operations KPI on a timely basis.
• Administer OpManager and Patch Manager ManageEngine Platforms
• Generate and coordinate the collating of all KRI for IT system Infrastructure.
• Provide reports of server availability and all other agreed metrics to Manager, IT systems Infrastructure on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Administer Data center and computer rooms.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, engineering, Information Technology.
• 1 - 3 years work experience, preferably in a Telecommunication and IT solutions industry.
• CompTIA A+ certified is required or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation is required.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification is recommended.
• Background IT knowledge on Virtual Machines, Networks and other IT Infrastructure aspects.

Functional Competencies:

• Configuration and administration of windows server OS and Linux, Azure, Hypervisor, VMware EXSi.
• Azure Administration.
• Change Management.
• Recognized as an SME in Kubernetes AKS.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AKS and cloud in general.
• Significant experience in managing containers with Azure Kubernetes specifically AKS.
• Experience with Manage Engine platforms.
• Advanced skills on LINUX, Network, security and Docker based environment.
• Good understanding of Data center administration.
