Job Title: Field Telecom / Communication Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities
- IT Outstation is responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established standard operating procedures, written and oral instructions.
IT Outstation personnel should work under the supervision of the Maintenance supervisor to:
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across Field Location (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up GI-accounts for new users
- Working with the IT team on projects/enhancements .
- Management and maintenance of day-to-day operations of all network-related systems to ensure quality of service
- Providing support for wireless, VOIP, video conferencing , CCTV, CATV and other related equipment
- Providing technical support for end-users’ workstations
- Performing the installation, configuration and maintenance of different operating systems, software and hardwares.
- Providing technical support for LAN,Internet connectivity, and client email configuration issues
- Repairing and replacing IT equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Management and maintenance of Perimeter Fence intrusion detection System
- Management and maintenance of Access Card Access Control System
- Management and maintenance of Public Address General Alarm (PAGA) system
Requirements
Academics:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND or OND in a Science / Engineering related discipline
Work Experience:
- 5 - 10 years work experience in the operations of field location and DCS controlled flow stations.
- Experience in database administration will be an added advantage.
- BOSIET/HUET/PTW certifications will be an added advantage
Skills: (Added Advantage)
