Job Title: Vulcanizer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

• The Vulcanizer works with the Vulcanizing Supervisor to carry out all vulcanizing activities within the terminal in a timely and efficient manner.

Vulcanizing Unit Task Implementation:

• Receives and executes vulcanizing tasks according to the instructions of the vulcanizing supervisor
• Provides feedback on the status of the task to the vulcanizing supervisor
• Makes requisitions and takes delivery of materials and spare parts used for vulcanizing activities
• Implements measures to avoid damage to vulcanizing material.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adheres to safety requirements (right tools usage, safe working environment) while executing maintenance procedures
• Attends weekly safety training
• Utilizes personal protective equipment in work areas at all time.

Teamwork & Performance:

• Works with other technicians and supervisors to complete designated tasks
• Takes ownership of own performance using the TICT performance management system
• Attends and maximizes training recommended by Supervisors and HR to close performance & development gaps
• Supports the induction of new team members into the Unit
• Performs any other duties as required by the business.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 2 - 5 years work experience.
