The Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), established in 1922 and operated for most of the colonial period, invites applications from suitable candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Kano

Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

• To execute with professional competence the Organization's book keeping and preparation of management and consolidated accounts.
• To ensure all the Organization's processes are risk-management compliant.
• To implement continuous improvement and monitoring of the Organization's compliance programs.
• To execute with competence and integrity all necessary documentations of incomes, expenses, taxes etc relevant to the Organization's operations.
• To provide professional guidance in the preparation and use of the Organization's annual budget as the Budget Team Lead.
• To prepare routine/periodic management reports as may be determined by the Management.
• To provide leadership in the selection and implementation of an accounting software for the Organization.

Qualifications

• It's mandatory to hold a minimum of BSc / HND (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration)
• It's mandatory to be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA)
• MBA and/or Membership of Risk Management Body is desirable, not mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience.
• Applicants with experience in a sales/marketing, consulting or other service firms may apply.
