A leading Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) fully committed to excellent service delivery, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Investment Research Analyst

Report Directly to: Head of Investment Department

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock price movements and company news to identify new investment opportunities or risks.
• Conduct market research and intelligence to identify investment opportunities
• Provide microeconomic analysis across industries and sectors, advise on economic outlook, recommend strategies on holding and purchase of new investments.
• Review and analyze corporate releases, valuation of securities, recommend existing holdings and new investments to Head Investment and Management Investment Committee.
• Recommend portfolio allocation and projected returns across asset classes and across funds.
• Produce monthly investment write ups/commentaries of portfolio assets.
• Build valuation models, performance calculation models and conduct ad-hoc analysis as required for all asset classes.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• First Degree (minimum of 2nd class lower) or its equivalent in Numerate or semi-numerate discipline such as Actuarial Sciences, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Business Studies and/or any other acceptable professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience of which at least 3 years must have been in investment securities research.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good understanding of PENCOM guidelines on the investment of pension fund assets
• Must be conversant with global and domestic markets analytics and dynamics.
