Job Overview

• The Wait Staff is responsible for providing excellent customer service to customers in our dining establishment. They take orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• The Wait Staff must be knowledgeable about the menu items, have strong communication skills, and work effectively as part of a team.
• They should maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times and handle guest inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and escort them to their tables, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome.
• Present menus to customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations on food and beverage choices.
• Take accurate food and drink orders from customers
• Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Serve food and drinks to customers in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Monitor tables and promptly address any additional needs or requests from customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in on tables and resolving any issues or complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers with their choices.
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials or promotions to maximize sales.
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the POS system accurately.
• Collaborate with other staff members to provide a smooth and efficient dining experience.
• Set up tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing for the next shift.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings to enhance knowledge and improve skills.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Wait Staff or in a similar role.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills, including active listening.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.

Remuneration
N30,000 - N35,000 Monthly.
