We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Moderns Trade Sales Manager (FMCG)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the modern trade segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and initiatives for the modern trade channel.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, providing accurate and timely information to management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to anticipate changes and proactively respond to challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

Requirements

  • First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years proven sales experience in FMCG
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights to drive business decisions.
  • Proactive and result-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to foster long-term partnerships with key accounts.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of trade regulations and compliance standards within the modern trade industry.
