The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology is a state-owned university in Aliero, Kebbi State, Nigeria. KSUSTA offers programmes in agriculture and sciences, among others. It was the 79th university in Nigeria.

In accordance with the provision of the University Law 2006, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position below which will become vacant with effect from 12th July, 2023:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Aliero, Kebbi

The Position

• The Bursar is a principal officer and Chief Finance Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
• For the post, the University seeks applicant with vision, academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
• The applicant should have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command respect and engender cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicant for this post:

• Must possess good honors Degree not below second class lower division in Accounting from a recognized University, possession of higher Degrees(s) is an added advantage:
• Must be a registered member of ICAN, ANAN or CPA;
• Must have attained the rank of Deputy Bursar in a University;
• Mmust have not less than fourteen (14) years of unbroken service in the University:
• Must have demonstrable competence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a working knowledge of relevant accounting Packages; and
• Must be able to provide sound financial and administrative leadership.
• The applicant shall not be more than Fifty five (55) years at the time of application.

Conditions of Service

• The remuneration and other conditions of service are as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
• The successful applicant shall hold office for five (5) years as determined by the Council.
