Job Title: Inventory Officer

Location: Iyanoworo, Lagos

Job Description

• We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to join our team at # Mat Supermarket.
• As an Inventory Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management process and ensuring accurate stock levels. Your role will be crucial in maintaining efficient operations and meeting customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, item descriptions, and locations.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile stock quantities with system records.
• Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with the purchasing and receiving teams to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and prevent stockouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate reports on inventory status, stock movements, and trends.
• Maintain a safe and organized inventory storage area.
• Ensure compliance with inventory-related policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
• 2 - 5 years work experience.
• Proven experience as an Inventory Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience with barcode scanning systems or RFID technology.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
