We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Ensure the fixed asset register is appropriately kept.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Design suitable source documents for capturing relevant accounting information.
- Oversee the General Ledger.
- Prepare Monthly and Quarterly financial statements accompanied with the relevant financial ratios and detailed analysis that will aid managerial decision making.
- Prepare statutory financial statements.
- Filing of Tax returns.
- Budget coordination, preparation, analysis and investigation.
- Project appraisal.
- Raising funds.
- Investing Surplus funds.
- Ensure that all transactions comply with appropriate VAT regulations and submitting the VAT return on behalf of the company.
- Oversee the Management Information System.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Financial Accountant and Executive Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc. in Accounting.
- ICAN/ACCA certification is compulsory.
- Accounting and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer literate as well as proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft applications.
