We are a leading and reputable indigenous non-governmental organization implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment programe in partnership with the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria. We currently require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professional to fill the position below:

Job Title: Associate Director, Database

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities
  • Incumbent will play a key role within the strategic information team,having responsibility for developing new architectures and streamlining existing ones (data schemas, data access layers, business layers) as well as desktop, and web-based applications to support the organizations core activities.
  • The incumbent provides technical support on the best database management practice for all database requirements for the internal activities of the organization and the organization's health facility- based sites.
  • The position provides technical oversight to the IT team and IT Infrastructure.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Degree in Medical records, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or any other related discipline.
  • At least 8 years' post NYSC working experience in the implementation and management of Health Strategic Information systems (HIV/AIDS programming preferred).
  • Relevant experience in database designs and longitudinal data management.
Requirements
  • Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, computer application and Internet / Email.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Significant amounts of travel may be involved.
  • Commitment to an understanding or organisation's vision, value and principles including rights - based /gender approaches would be expected.
