Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are in search of an Accountant with a sole responsibilities of tracking revenue and expenses, organizing financial statements and reports, managing payroll, conducting a financial audit, completing daily financial reconciliation, and reporting financial information to the Managing Director.

Job Description

• Controlling the payroll
• Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts.
• Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet for management review
• Preparation of budgets and business plan, including projected room revenue
• Reconciling bank statements
• Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT and PAYE
• Pursuing late payments, reporting bad debts and keeping an eye on the cash flow
• Any other task that many be assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related numerate discipline.
• ACA or ACCA qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Accountant with at least 2 years in the hospitality industry.
• Accountancy skills, ideally honed in a hospitality environment
• IT knowledge and accounting software
• Data analysis skills
• Analytical and communication skills
• Financial planning and forecasting skills.
• Attention to details
• Leadership skills.
