Position Overview

  • As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the company. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
  • With your expertise and experience, you will lead business development efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation activities. Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and develop strategies to convert leads into long-term business partnerships.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the client's stakeholders to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding business relationships.
  • Sales and Proposal Management: Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, initial meetings, needs analysis, proposal creation, negotiation, and closing deals. Develop persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations that align with the client's requirements and company objectives.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape. Conduct market research, analyze customer insights, and identify potential areas for business growth and differentiation.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies, sales plans, and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with the leadership team to identify target markets, evaluate market entry strategies, and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure successful client onboarding and project implementation.
  • Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand professional networks, build brand awareness, and identify potential business leads. Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Relationship Building with Partners: Identify strategic partnerships and alliances that can enhance business opportunities and expand market reach. Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing initiatives, co-selling opportunities, and mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated with industry best practices, sales techniques, and business development trends. Continuously improve your skills through training, self-study, and attending relevant workshops or seminars.

Qualification and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in sales, marketing, or business development are advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Previous experience in B2B sales or selling complex solutions is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with industry-specific trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Business Acumen: Solid business and financial understanding, with the ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Results-Orientation: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 / Month.
