Job Summary
- The business development manager will oversee the marketing and sales unit of our branch in Abuja and drive business growth within the company.
- Will be responsible for developing and attaining business goals, delivering customer service, and growing the branch revenues.
- Candidate will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
- He/She will grow corporate business and ensure performance targets are achieved in line with the Company business strategy, values and culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the drive for business initiatives, source business leads, and ensure business management
- Ensure company’s growth objectives are attained; articulating new business development opportunities and identifying, negotiating and managing relationships with technical partners in line with corporate goals.
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive tactical business development plan to accomplish the organization’s business goal.
- Identify prospects and develop sales strategies to penetrate and get new accounts.
- Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities and feasibility reports supporting growth based on intelligence.
- Lead the formulation, execution and monitoring of company’s business development, market penetration strategies and plans for enhancing business growth.
- Monitor company performance against agreed business target.
- Assist in the preparation of bids/proposals.
- Develop and implement a training and development program for team members.
- Mentoring team members for improved performance individually and corporately.
- Ensure timely management of the performance of all team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Management or related field.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
- 3 - 5 years experience as a manager.
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, marketing, sales executive or a relevant role
- Proven track record of good performance in business drive, sourcing new clients and managing existing ones.
- Firm grasp of modern marketing methods and tools.
- Ability to meet sales targets and business goals.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
