We have engaged competent professionals in several developmental projects since our inception and we require qualified and professional applicants.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Kaduna
Responsibilities
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials and labour needed for a project
- Prepare tender documents, contracts budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Prepare interim statement/valuation for work done on a project.
- Carry out market survey at a scheduled duration to monitor cost.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of a project
- Measure and value the work done on site
- Raise valuation to pay subcontractors
- Liaise with other construction professionals, such as site engineers, project supervisors and architect
- Report to the General Manager Operations
- Prepare and submit monthly reports.
Qualifications
- First Degree / HND in Quantity Survey from reputable institution
- 5 years working experience
- Membership of NIQS and Registration with QSRBN will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Mathematics is required.
- Must be thorough and attentive to detail.
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
- Sound knowledge of safe building and construction practices
- The ability to use initiative to make judgement call.
