Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Translate documents, presentations, and other materials from Chinese to English and vice versa·
• Ensure accuracy and quality of translations·
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and project requirements·
• Edit and proofread translated materials to ensure correctness and consistency·
• Manage translation projects from start to finish, including quality assurance and timely delivery·
• Develop and maintain terminology databases and translation memories·
• Research and stay current with industry-specific terminology and best practices·
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's / Master's Degree with 2+ years relevant work experience.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven work experience as a Chinese Translator.
• Fluency in  Chinese  languages and English language.
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needsl Good knowledge of content editing tools.
• Time-management skills..
• Additional certification is a plus.
