Job Summary
- This role has responsibilities for leading and overseeing the Project and Engineering team and overseeing professional programs, certifications and projects.
- The incumbent will report to the General Manger and be responsible for the Technical team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit making results.
- Ensuring smooth operation of Project and Engineering units.
- Provide guidance, technical support and training to all team mates.
- Ensuring operation in most cost effective manner.
- Analyzing cost of operation and exploring and implementing the ways of cost reduction.
- Capable of building competent and dedicated Team.
- Train and mentor other engineers and supporting staff.
- Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Assist the Business Development to prepare budgets, bids, technical proposals and contracts.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Write performance reviews and solve internal issues.
- Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Any other duty as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- M.Sc/M Eng/HND (Electrical /Electronics/ Mechanical or other related discipline)
- 10 years' experience in a related environment
- Sound technical knowledge of project consulting
- Good knowledge of market terrain - Manufacturing, oil and gas,
- Good knowledge of market penetration strategies
- Ability to facilitate and train the trainer
- Sound coordination skill
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set time frames and within budget
- Advanced written and oral communication skills including attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to be innovative
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient with modern e-marketing strategies.
