Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Use software programs to design structural plans, drawings and rendering.
- Regular visit to construction sites to monitor the building process.
- Design and supervise infrastructure projects.
- Analyze local and environmental impacts and ensure completion within set time and budget
- Consider environmental hazards and ensure safety on site.
- Ensure materials, equipment and labour cost are within the set budget
- Forecast on design and construction timeline
- Prepare all necessary permit to the appropriate agencies and ensure project compliance throughout the construction stages
- Oversee soil testing to establish soil strength and building feasibility
- Manage repairs and maintenance of projects
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies
- Prepare blueprints according to technical specifications
- Assess potential risks, materials and labor costs
- Oversee and liaise with a relevant staff
- Monitor and prepare progress report on projects
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
Qualifications / Experience
- B.Sc or Master's in Civil Engineer and Building Technology with 3 - 5 years working experience as a Civil Engineer.
Core Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of quality assurance and compliance
- Ability to work with multiple projects
- Project management and supervision skills
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- Excellent Communication skills
- Time management and organization skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, design.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
