Job Title: Bar Steward

Ref: 432
Location: Lagos
Reporting to: Bar Supervisor, Financial Administrator Catering Manager, Camp Manager, Services Manager

Purpose/Role
  • Responsible for the Bar & Lounge facility and the Service of Drinks in the Bar.
Key Aims and Objectives
  • Financial controls of all money received using POS System
  • Overseeing the Bar stock and Bar Stock accountability
  • Cleanliness of The Facility
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
  • Accountability for all money received from Bar
  • Paying of all money received to Financial Controller
  • Responsible for all Bar activities including Stock & Sales
  • Maintenance and Cleanliness of Bar & Lounge facility
  • Liaise with ND staff to ensure the continued provision of the appropriate service
  • Handles complaints and special requests
  • Monitors hygiene and food handling practices for compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Conducts periodical stock takes as necessary and ensures stock rotation
  • Enforces safety requirements and models safe behavior
  • Attends and participates in training activities and attends meetings as required
  • Ensures security of departmental equipment and inventory
  • Ensures Company confidentiality
  • Performs duties as assigned by the Camp Management Team
  • Reporting all defects in the Bar and Lounge
Other Duties
  • As defined by the Services Manager and Camp Manager
Reports:
  • Daily Reports to Financial Controller
Key Internal Interfaces:
  • Nigerdock residents, management and clients
Key External Interfaces:
  • Clients and there representative's
The Persons
  • Ideally be registered for at least one year as a registered nurse (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills combined with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services
  • Using POS Systems and strong numeracy Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Food Hygiene awareness
  • Ability to supervise and train employees when required
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work in a busy, stressful environment with extreme changes of temperatures
  • Ability to utilise time efficiently to meet all job responsibilities
