IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Equipment Operator II (Power House)
Location: Ibadan
Job Status: Contract (2 year renewable contract)
Responsibilities
- Daily operation of all powerhouse equipments.
- Operates / maintenance both mechanical and electrical equipments in powerhouse e.g. Generators, High voltage panels, Ring Main Units, Tripping Units, Batteries, High voltage Underground cables, High voltage and low voltage Circuit breakers.
- Receiving of AGO;
- Assisting powerhouse mechanics to carried out repairs on all Mechanical equipment in-charge of powerhouse;
- Assisting in general maintenance of all Electrical equipment and installation in the Powerhouse;
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- OND, Trade Test II /Artisan Certificate in Electrical Engineering plus at least two (2) years relevant experience.
