IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Our R4D approach is anchored on the development needs of the tropics. We work with partners to enhance crop quality and productivity, reduce producer and consumer risks, and generate wealth from agriculture. We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Auto Electrician III
Location: Ibadan
Job Status: Contract (2 year renewable contract)
Responsibilities
- Fault diagnosis and remedy;
- Repair and overhaul of auto-electrical components;
- Preparation of electrolytes and filling of batteries;
- Filling and charging of new and old batteries;
- Vehicle recovery;
- Keeping and rendering of workshop records of all jobs;
- Cleaning and maintenance of workshop and equipment;
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- OND in Mechanical Engineering or Trade test I&II plus at least eight (8) years relevant experience.
