IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Job Title: Mechanic II (Hydraulic)
Location: Ibadan
Job Status: (Contract) 2 year renewable contract
Responsibilities
- Assist in preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and tractors hydraulics as at when due;
- Carry out repairs on farm tractor and equipment of various models such as David Brown, Caterpillar and factory equipment;
- Work on the institute machinery such as Aquamarine, Excavators, Graders, Bulldozers and lift trucks etc.;
- Make medium and high pressure hoses using swaging tools;
- Service and re-kitting hydraulic valves, cylinder rams and actuators;
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- OND, Trade Test II /Artisan Certificate in Mechanical Engineering plus at least two (2) years relevant experience
