Job Title: Cleaner

Job Description

  • As a cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
  • You will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Your role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Responsibilities

  • Clean designated areas, including offices, common areas, restrooms, and other facilities, following established cleaning procedures and schedules.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and dust.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and fixtures.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
  • Refill restroom supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Clean and polish windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch areas, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
  • Maintain cleanliness in break rooms and kitchen areas, including cleaning appliances, countertops, and sinks.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and dusters.
  • Follow proper safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor or facilities management.
  • Follow established security protocols and ensure the security of premises and assets during cleaning activities.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment storage areas.
  • Collaborate with other cleaning staff to ensure consistent cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to cleaning requests and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 - 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in professional cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and moving objects.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
  • Good communication skills to interact politely and professionally with colleagues and customers.
  • Reliability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, such as evenings or weekends, if required.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
