Job Description
Be critically involved in developing this micro-finance organisation into a leader in the Nigerian market, with the support of the group.
Responsibilities
- Report to local authorities and local supervision bodies
- Report to investors, organizing boards and regular meetings
- Organise and advise on the control of finance, administration and accounting of the company
- Define, control and supervise the execution of internal procedures for the finance and accounting departments of the company, especially the cash management, and develop costs control and risk control tools
- Supervise and control the accounting and financial statements on a monthly basis
- Control the application of local regulation and communicate to internal and external auditors, as well as enabling the application of IFRS formats and rules for the consolidation of accounts
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Previous experience in microfinance
- Knowledge of microfinance bank operations (loans, savings, etc.)
- Knowledge of individual lending methodologies in microfinance
- CPA (desired)
- Knowledge of internal control
- Fluent in English
- University degree in Management/Finance
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting/finance (preferably in Nigeria)
