Job Title: Logistics and Distribution - Data Analyst

Main Purpose of Position
- As the Data Analyst, you will be collecting and analysising data for the company to be used to perfect their direct marketing campaigns, metrics and business practices.
- The data analyst runs various mathematical calculations to determine how the data samples might best be applied to profit the business.
- Most importantly, the data analyst evaluates risk; culling statistical information to determine whether the organization is growing and also support of the company's strategic goals, while supporting external customer base.
Job Descriptions
- To come up with a comprehensive analysis of merchandise at both the central store and the retail outlets.
- To report consistently and accurately to the COO, CRO on merchandize analysis
- Comparison of sales trends over certain periods of as requested from time to time
- Analyze requests and ensures control are put in place
- Weekly/monthly report on fast moving and slow moving stock
- Prepare weekly/monthly report on merchandise that should be sent to the retail outlets
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Collect and study employees, customers, sales, manufacturing and distribution data in order to improve business processes.
- Communicates the results of the analysis as a comprehensive report to decision makers and others affected by the results.
- Provide database design and management services.
- Analyze sales, profits, inventory risks, opportunities, and implement allocation strategies that will help maximize the sales and profit potential of the business chain.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in numbers and data presentation tools like charts and tables.
- Understands retail business.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and come up with information for management to make business decision.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management.
- Knowledge of ERP
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Excellent people management skill
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel, Powerpoint.
- Must be able to identify and interpret patterns and trends, assess data quality and eliminate irrelevant data.
- Outstanding personal accountability and business ethics.
Qualification and Experience
- B.Sc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- 4 - 6 years of experience as a data analyst; (inclination to fashion would be an added advantage).
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Remuneration
N80,000 - N100,000
