Job Title: Activation Officer

Job Summary
- The main responsibility of this role is to aid new dealers purchase their first car from Cars45 and building retention of these leads over a given period. This involves initiating contact with potential dealers and generating fresh leads for the dealer management department, with a focus on enabling successful sales of their first vehicle purchase. In addition, the role requires re-engaging dealers who have not made a purchase within a stated period, in order to boost sales.
- To excel in this position, the ideal candidate should possess strong skills in verbal communication, logical reasoning, persuasion, and maintaining a coherent thought process. They should also have exceptional customer service abilities, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of our products, services, and company policies.
- Overall, the emphasis is on effectively engaging customers, driving sales, and ensuring a smooth process for the dealers' initial vehicle purchase.
Essential Job Functions
- Exceptional customer service skills, including interpersonal communication and rapport building
- In-depth knowledge of vehicles types, vehicle market trends and demand
- Intuition to anticipate which cars will appeal to different customers
- Active listening to best determine a customer’s wants and needs
- Persuasiveness to convince customers to make a purchase and participation on the car auction platform
- Confidence to create a positive impression on customers
- Negotiation skills to offer deals that satisfy customers while ensuring profit for the business
- Organization and time management to handle many different customers, including past customers, at once
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to coordinate sales with the financing department and other members of the sales team
- A welcoming and friendly demeanour
Requirements
- A Degree from a tertiary institution (University, Polytechnic, College etc)
- Proficient use of google office ( google docs, google sheet etc)
- 1-3 years experience in the automotive industry
- A proven track record in motor vehicle sales would be advantageous.
- A professional appearance, friendly manner, and positive attitude.
- The ability to be competitive while maintaining the client's best interests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
- A passion for sales and customer satisfaction.
