We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Work Hour: 40 hours per week

About the Role

• As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• You will analyse financial data, provide insights for decision-making, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Recommendation and oversight of the implementation of relevant strategies, corporate and regulatory policies in relation to Accounting, Tax, Financial Management, and Controls, to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
• Responsibility for non-IT business continuity and maintenance of operational efficiency.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger.
• Provision of timely, accurate, and relevant financial information to multiple internal and external stakeholders; based on historic, budgetary, and forecasted analysis.
• Coordinate all audits, internal, regulatory, and statutory.
• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and other relevant service providers.
• Liaise with regulators on regulatory activities including compliance with all regulatory returns.
• Oversee Budgeting, budgetary monitoring and control functions.
• Ensure the maintenance of strong internal and financial controls mechanisms.
• Oversee tax management and compliance in line with relevant regulations.
• Oversee risk management and internal control in the finance and account function.
• Preparation and dissemination of prompt, accurate and complete financial statements, and reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• At least, one professional certification is required (e.g. ICAN, ACCA etc.)
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience with 2 years in a Managerial position.
• Experience working in and managing cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Business metrics, Product, Marketing, and Sales.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to communicate with other stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
