Starville School is a private Christian school open to male and female children of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Starville School exists to provide quality education based on Christian values and principles. We however offer admission to pupils/students irrespective of religion, race or nationality.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of School

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Implement the school's strategic vision, mission, and goals in collaboration with the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity, respect, and integrity.
  • Ensure high academic standards and quality teaching practices that align with the school's educational philosophy.
  • Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and assessment to ensure student engagement and achievement.
  • Nurture positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community to create a supportive and collaborative school environment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure learning environment that complies with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage school resources, including budgeting, financial planning, and facilities management.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to attract and enroll a diverse student body that aligns with the school's values and mission.
  • Develop strong partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for students.
  • Stay abreast of educational trends, research, and best practices to continuously improve the school's programs and offerings.
  • Represent the school at community events, conferences, and educational forums.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution.
  • Proven track record of successful school leadership and management.
  • Deep understanding of educational pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to educational excellence, student-centered learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of local educational regulations, policies, and practices.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive innovation and navigate challenges.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to envision and implement long-term educational goals.
