Starville School is a private Christian school open to male and female children of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Starville School exists to provide quality education based on Christian values and principles. We however offer admission to pupils/students irrespective of religion, race or nationality.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Primary

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the primary division in alignment with the school's overall mission and goals.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of teachers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality education and student-centered learning experiences.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values respect, diversity, and student well-being.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community, fostering open communication and partnership.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and implement strategies to support academic growth and achievement.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, upholding school policies and procedures.
  • Manage resources effectively, including budgeting, facilities, and educational materials.
  • Stay updated on educational research, best practices, and emerging trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Proven track record of success in instructional leadership, curriculum development, and staff management.
  • Deep understanding of primary education principles, pedagogy, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Valid teaching certification.
