Azman University, Kano obtained its provisional license to operate as a Private University on 15th May, 2023. The University is deeply committed to realizing its dream of a world-class status where research and innovations are the order of the day. This informed the decision of the Governing Council to recruit carefully selected and competent Management Staff with commendable pedigree and international flavor for academic disciplines to ensure that the students are given the best attention and proper guidance throughout their stay at Azman University.

Having received the necessary approval from the Federal Executive Council, Azman University Governing Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Kano
Employment type: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • The Registrar, as a Principal Officer, is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University, except with regards to matters of finance to which the Bursar is responsible.
  • The person holding the office of Registrar shall by Virtue of that office, be Secretary to The Council, the Senate, the Congregation and Convocation.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University.
  • Possession of postgraduate qualification and membership of professional bodies would be an added advantage.
  • Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years administrative experience and at least ten (10) of which must be at University level.
  • Candidates must be 60 years or below on appointment and must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
  • Candidates must command respect and have the ability to provide leadership and offer appropriate advice on matters affecting the University.

Terms and Conditions of Service
The Registrar shall hold office on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his/her instrument of appointment.
