Job Summary

  • The Air Freight Commercial Specialist will ensure that the company meets its business objectives by gaining new customers, driving customer growth, retaining existing customers and working towards continuous value addition to our customers.
  • The candidate should be fluent in English and should be currently employed in the same or a similar field.

Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing the Air Freight Product.
  • Initiating and completing IATA registration (if necessary).
  • Budgets preparations, sales plan and execution of management sales strategies.
  • To immediately start bringing in business in the area through active sales with potential customers.
  • Preparing a business and sales plan in conjunction with CC Log management and deliver on the same.
  • Marketing: Ensure a competitive intelligence and carry out marketing studies in the region.
  • Build up long term relations with existing customer portfolio at the branch and understand their business and its supply chain requirements.
  • Create solutions that address their supply chain needs with a focus on increasing efficiencies – reducing lead times and costs on an ongoing basis.
  • You will meet the clients and educate them on our services and products.
  • Supplier negotiations on expected service delivery levels.
  • Participate to the contract setting and monitor portfolio client payment with the Collection Desk. Participation in the management of commercial disputes.
  • Maintain a database of customers with current feedback on business (Pipeline management)
  • Contribute fresh innovative ideas/strategies for the constant improvements of sales performances.
  • Develop good relationships within the global air freight team to leverage their client base for logistics and supply chain opportunities.

Minimum Qualification

  • BA / B.Sc Degree

Experience:

  • Mid-level (3 – 8 Years)

The ideal candidate:

  • Should be well versed with nuances of Air Freight business.
  • Should have good contacts with major airlines.
  • Should have own customer base and wide reach in the air freight market.
  • Have operational knowledge of air freight business is must.
  • Possess exceptional Oral and Written English language communication skills.
  • Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations that convey predefined messages to diverse audiences and be able to handle sensitive one-on-one conversations effectively.
