Job Title: Accountant Trainee
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description
- Assist with the preparation of Vendor Aging Reports and print vendor payment schedules
- Preparation of Bank Instructions and upload Bank Transfers for payments
- Timely “Notification of payments” to vendors
- Preparation of Pension Schedule
- Preparation of Schedule for Depreciation and Amortization for the Company’s Entities
- Update Fixed Asset Register
- Assist with the Preparation and filing of Alliance Invoices
- Daily Filing of invoices into various binders i.e. payment binder, tax remittance, etc.
- Prepare LIRS, ITF Schedule and NHF passbooks payable for each entity
- Daily call-over of processed/successful payments of all entities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly VAT & WHT payable schedules and reconciliation of payment versus outstanding VAT and WHT payables
Qualifications & Competencies
- BSc Accounting with 0 - 3 years work experience
- Capacity to display an aptitude for numbers and the ability to make calculations and work out formulas with ease
- Ability to spot trends in data and highlight inaccuracies or discrepancies
- Ability to work with the company’s financial data and keep the information confidential
- Ability to use accounting software as well as computer software to input and amend data
- Continuous training on knowledge of Financial Standard (IFRS) and Finance practices around the world
- Preferably female for gender balance
