The Edo State Government through the Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban and Regional Development invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its Clean and Green Program within the capacity below:

Job Title: Builder Trainee

Location: Benin City, Edo

Details

• The successful candidates will be trained for 1 (One) year under the scheme.
• At the end of program, successful candidates will be offered permanent employment with the Edo State Government.

Job Description

• Preparation of the following: Construction Work Program, Project Quality Management Plan, Health and Safety Management Plan, Buildability and Maintainability Management Plan.
• Management of Building Production (Construction) from planning to Commissioning
• Signing of stages compliance forms and certificates of completion.
• Facilities Management in Building
• Building surveying and preparing its report.
• Feasibility Studies on any of the building settings.
• Other roles for a builder as stated in the Nigerian National Building Code.
• Collection of material samples on site for testing.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum of Lower Credit) in Building Technology.
• Evidence of CORBON registration is an added advantage.
• Candidates must possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
• Candidates must be computer literate, with good interpersonal/leadership skills and ability to effectively work in teams.
• Applicants must be within the ages of 22-30.
• Experience in the use of CAD&GIS Tools will be added advantage.
