Job Title: Site Account Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control and Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and stock locations.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to prevent stock discrepancies, shrinkage, and stockouts.
  • Regularly conduct physical inventory counts to reconcile with system records and identify discrepancies.

Receiving and Inspection:

  • Oversee the receiving and inspection of incoming goods, materials, or products.
  • Ensure that received items match purchase orders, and conduct quality inspections as required.
  • Coordinate with procurement and quality control teams to resolve any receiving issues.

Stock Organization and Storage:

  • Organize and arrange inventory items in a manner that facilitates efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Implement proper labeling and coding systems to identify items accurately and maintain a well-organized storage area.

Issuance and Dispatch:

  • Coordinate the issuance of materials, products, or equipment to internal departments or external customers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all stock transactions, including sales and transfers.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to facilitate timely dispatch and delivery of goods.

Inventory Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze inventory levels, usage patterns, and trends to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Generate regular inventory reports for management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose appropriate action plans.

Stock Replenishment and Ordering:

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to determine optimal reorder points and quantities.
  • Place orders for replenishment stock in a timely manner to avoid stockouts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to procurement.

Inventory Audits and Compliance:

  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for inventory management and reporting.
  • Assist in external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in inventory management or related roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks related to inventory management.
