Job Title: Head, Technical Operations - Stanbic IBTC Insurance Broker

Job Purpose
- Be responsible for the staff under the technical department and ensure that all policies and claims are executed in line with service level agreement
Key Responsibilities
- Research, assess and implement local and international best practices.
- Monitor industry, market statistics and competitor trends in order to ensure strategic plans on market share are achieved.
- Providing a secure, efficient, competitive and comprehensive range of services and products.
- Track insurance for the entire Group to ensure cover of all assets and risks is in place at all times
- All clients insurance request are treated within agreed period
- Ensure full documentation of all claims and follow up with underwriters for early settlement
- Adhere to all NAICOM reports, monthly, quarterly reports
- Ensure that all premium due to underwriter are remitted in line with regulatory guide line
- Combine technical functions with client visit
- Cover the annuity/health related insurance from wealth
Key Performance Measures
- All insurance request must be placed the same day
- Meeting and exceeding set performance budgets / targets
- All claims cheque must be received from the underwriter after 72 hours of signing discharge voucher
- Ensure adequate and relevant cover are in place for all loan-related insurance.
- Ensure adequate and relevant cover are in place for group's assets and liabilities
- Ensure that clients policies are issued and delivered on time
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business/Social Sciences/Insurance
- Masters in Business Administration
Experience:
- 8 to 10 years experience in risk management and insurance brokerage/insurance company
Required Competencies
Internal and External Relationships:
- Build sound relationships with product owners, Directors and Key Personnel within the Stanbic IBTC Group
- Ensuring there is adequate communication and exchange of ideas between all stakeholders and channels.
- Build and maintain sound working relationships with the bank's approved insurance companies
