Job Title: Meter Reading Trainee
Job Type: Full-time
Locations: Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States
Job Summary
- Responsible for all Maximum Demand (MD) and NMD customers meter reading and monitoring.
- Role will provide strategic advisory support to the Energy Metering Unit and Management Team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer meter reading and capturing meter status / remark
- Preparing daily reading upload batch files
- Special customers meters re-reading / site visit
- Assisting Team Member - Meter Reading for improving meter reading efficiency
- Coordinating with other department to attend to customer complaints related to meter reading activities
- Providing customer reading books / cycle and updating reading sequence
- Liaise with Billing Operations for data review
- Periodic monitoring and weekly report on activities
- Monthly reports on energy consumed in the cluster
- Recommendation / specification of customers' tariff structure / placement based on the nature of their business and load measurement.
Competency and Skill Requirements
- Excellent understanding of the standards of the energy industry.
- Be adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments and to work with all types of individuals.
- Strong skills in negotiating, planning, problem solving, and timely problem escalation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team player and attention to details
- Ability to multi task and work under pressure
- Maintain good relationship with customers
Experience and Minimum Requirements
- HND, OND or Trade Test Certificate preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or any relevant field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 0 - 3 years' experience in a related role
