Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (RC 638640), is one of the eleven successor distribution companies of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Kaduna Electric, a registered trademark of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, is licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to distribute and retail electricity within a service coverage area of Northwestern-most of Nigeria. It has its Headquarters in Kaduna, with offices in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

Kaduna Electric is looking to employ young, vibrant professionals to fill the position below in the Marketing and Customer Services Department:

Job Summary
  • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of the organization’s marketing strategies.
  • Responsible for total collections and Revenue generation for the organization.
  • Responsible for new customer acquisition and retention.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecast to achieve corporate objectives for collections and revenue.
  • Develops and manage marketing/Sales operating budget.
  • Develops appropriate energy pricing regime for the Company.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio in relation to industry standard and economic trend.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Ensure effective control of marketing results and takes corrective actions to guarantee that achievement of desired objectives falls within designed budgets.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales against targets to determine effectiveness.
  • Identifies, evaluates and implements new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Designs training programmes for Marketing Executives
  • Identifies emerging markets to harness opportunities for new customer acquisition.
  • Harnessing competitive strength in energy Marketing
Competency and Skill Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience and excellent understanding in the design and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Strong, creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
  • A good understanding of the peculiar revenue generation challenges of the energy industry.
  • Experienced in developing and managing budgets as well as project management
  • Experience overseeing, developing, training and managing a Sales teams.
  • Commitment to working with the leadership and in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
Experience and Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or HND preferably in Social Sciences /or equivalent.
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Master’s degree (MBA) or professional membership of any relevant local or international associations will be an added advantage.
  • 7-12 years cognate experience
