Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (RC 638640), is one of the eleven successor distribution companies of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Kaduna Electric, a registered trademark of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, is licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to distribute and retail electricity within a service coverage area of Northwestern-most of Nigeria. It has its Headquarters in Kaduna, with offices in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

Kaduna Electric is looking to employ young, vibrant professionals to fill the position below in the Marketing and Customer Services Department:

Job Summary
  • Marketing of Company's product and services within a cluster/Service Area
  • Responsible for total collections and Revenue generation for the Cluster/Service Area
  • Responsible for new customer acquisition and retention in the cluster/Service Area
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement Marketing Strategies in order to meet and exceed the Marketing goals of the Company.
  • Meeting the cash collection and revenue targets of the Company in his Cluster/Service area of influence.
  • Following up of payments by maximum demand and Premium customers
  • Monitoring of set targets for Marketing Officers/Trainees
  • Managing New customer acquisition
  • Develop Marketing opportunities by identifying emerging markets
  • Harnessing competitive strength in energy Marketing Reviews and analyzes sales against targets to determine effectiveness.
  • Identifies, evaluates and implements new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Identifies emerging markets to harness opportunities for new customer acquisition.
Competency and Skill Requirements
  • Basic understanding of the peculiar revenue generation challenges of the energy industry.
  • Strong, creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
  • Experience overseeing, developing, training and managing a Sales teams.
  • Commitment to working with and with cross functional teams.
  • Be adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments, juggle multiple demands and to work with all types of individuals.
  • Strong skills in negotiating, planning, problem solving, and timely problem escalation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
Experience and Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or HND preferably in Social Sciences /or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Master’s degree (MBA) or professional membership of any relevant local or international associations will be an added advantage.
  • 3-7years’ experience in a related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial/ supervisory role
